How to get around Prague if you don't know the public transport system? The ideal way of transport for anyone who is unfamiliar with the city is walking, exploring the various streets and places of the city. Furthermore, using taxis is a very popular way of transport. You may see taxi service vehicles waiting in the centre of Prague, but you may be unpleasantly surprised by the final price when you arrive at your destination. It is much more convenient to order a taxi vehicle through an app (e.g. Uber, Bolt, Liftago, etc.) where you know in advance what vehicle will come for you and most importantly you know the price of the transport in advance.

In the past, Prague taxi drivers had a very bad reputation for scamming tourists, often charging high amounts. Personally, I only use taxis via apps where I know the price in advance.
